D-Day
What to do on the big day?
On the big day, I'll be at the wedding site about two hours early.
This allows me to check the layout of the ceremony (altar, arch, chairs...) which is extremely important, to modify it if necessary, and to validate it with the wedding-planner or the owner of the chosen venue.
Please note that I have a music stand that I bring with me to every Ceremony, so you won't need to bring one.
I also take advantage of this time to check with the DJ about the Ceremony's sound system and the music to be played.
And to check with the photographer and videographer, if necessary, on the progress and timing of the ceremony, and with the decorator to decorate my lectern if necessary...
As far as the photographer or decorator is concerned, I can also advise you on trustworthy and valuable service providers if you wish, as I've worked with a number of them now.
Finally, it allows me to be there to welcome the guests, and to manage them, getting them into place when they need to be.
As far as my performance is concerned, one point needs to be stressed:
I don't improvise, and I follow the text to the letter and comma.
Firstly, because I'm not here to take the spotlight - you're the stars of the day!
But also because it's a perilous exercise, with no guarantee of results. But my job, my task and my duty on this very important day is to guarantee you this result, which is what I'm doing.
But with respect for the text! I'll be discreet when you need me, whether it's to give the floor to someone close to you, or for a moment of contemplation and emotion.
But rest assured, I'll also bring the right amount of energy, emotion and joy when it's needed for a lively and successful ceremony!
